A Fisher & Paykel showroom also shows the kitchen as social hub concept.
18 May 2012 | New Zealand design agency Alt Group recently won a silver at the Clio Awards in New York for its work on the Fisher & Paykel Social Kitchen at Urbis Designday, a design and food event in Auckland.
The Social Kitchen was a pop-up installation created in a collaboration between chefs, furniture designers and the team from Fisher & Paykel. It was designed to showcase the best in New Zealand appliance engineering and design, and showcase the evolving role of the kitchen as a social hub. Alt Group designed custom wait staff uniforms, serving platters, a menu on t-shirts and a newspaper and video that documented the design process of each contributor from ideation to delivery.
The Clio Awards are an annual event that honor the best of advertising, design and communications in package design, print, radio and television from around the world.
